Course Description
Self-Manifested Chi Flow (5 Hours)
Prerequisite: None
This is an excellent course to begin your Chi Kung training or enjoy the deeper benefits if you already are a practitioner of Shaolin Cosmos Chi Kung. Through a few simple but profound exercises, Grandmaster Wong will initiate the students into their natural ability to generate energy (chi) flow. And gradually, by the end of the class, the students will be able to completely let go and enjoy a self-manifested chi flow. Students will find themselves move about spontaneously in different and sometimes funny ways. Yet the practitioner is in full control and is able to change or stop his movements if he wishes. Self-manifested chi flow has been practised since ancient times, but was kept exclusively for special people in the past.
This course is very beneficial for improving one's health and overcoming illness. Spontaneous movements are the natural result of energy moving freely throughout the body and getting rid off any physical, emotional and mental blockages. It is excellent for cleansing meiridans and harmonizing energy levels. This is a fun and energizing course!
Massaging Internal Organs (4 Hours)
Prerequisite: Self-Manifested Chi Flow*
From the Chinese medical perspective, our organs are linked to our emotions. Unhealthy organs may harbor negative emotions and vice versa, prolonged negative emotions may cause damage to our organs. Lungs are typically associated with sadness and grief, stomach with anxiety, spleen with worry, kidneys with fear, and liver with anger.
Grandmaster Wong will lead students through several Chi Kung exercises to help clear these physical and emotional blockages. Students will acquire the skills to direct chi (energy) and gently massage any of their internal organs or parts of the body. This is a powerful yet gentle course enabling the students to have a better awareness of the body, experience internal chi flow, and the ability to massage their organs on their own even after the course.
Cosmic Breathing (4 Hours)
Prerequisite: Self-Manifested Chi Flow*
Cosmic Breathing also known as "Dan Tian Breathing" is an advanced Chi Kung exercise. It is specially used to expand the mind and cultivate the spirit, while it can also be used to overcome pain and illness and enhance vitality and longevity. In the course you may vibrate with the Cosmos, and experience tremendous peace and joy. Grandmaster Wong will initiate you into this advanced yet simple art to enable you to enjoy these wonderful benefits.
Merging with the Cosmos (4 Hours)
Prerequisite: Self-Manifested Chi Flow*
Students often describe this as the “Wow!” course. The exercise comes from the famous chi kung set called "Sinew Metamorphosis", known as Yi Jin Jing in Chinese. Many people today practice the Yi Jin Jing, but most practice it as an isometric exercise. Few people in the world experience the Yi Jin Jing as a powerful energy exercise, which is what you'll experience in this course.
The exercise taught is bafflingly simple, and yet incredibly powerful. A seemingly simple technique will enable you to feel your spirit expand and merge with the cosmos. Compared to the Eighteen Lohan Hands, this exercise develops more internal force. In the past, this internal force was used for martial arts and spiritual cultivation. Today, we can use the same internal force for our daily work and play. It will also cultivate useful skills like quick thinking, mental freshness, peace of mind, courage, and the ability to think under pressure.
Shaolin Kungfu (16 Hours)
Prerequisite: None
Shaolin Kungfu course is one of the best courses taught by Grandmaster Wong. It is the foundation for all further Shaolin Kungfu training. Students will learn basic stances, footwork, hand strikes, kicks, felling techniques, gripping techniques, methods of internal force training and combat application. Students are often surprised how much is covered within a relatively short period of time. Grandmaster Wong uses his unmatched style of teaching to transmit the revered and once secretive Shaolin skills to his students. As in any genuine internal art, students will acquire the ability to relax, focus, improve their health and of course feel happy and peaceful.
This is a challenging course and students will be pushed to their limit physically, emotionally and mentally but the reward will surpass their expectations. This is a course for all levels, from beginners and up. Prior martial arts experience is not required, but it is helpful.
